Michael Basedow is a Board Certified Osteopathic Family Physician in Ashland, Kentucky. He is also a two-time recipient of the Kenyon B. Corry, D.O. & W. Dayton Hengeroth, D.O. Osteopathic Heritage awards for outstanding performance during his residency at the Doctors Hospital Family Practice Center. Dr. Basedow has a special interest in the areas of dermatology and musculoskeletal medicine.
Dr. Basedow holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie, Pennsylvania. After graduation, he proceeded to the Doctors Hospital Family Practice Residency Program in Columbus, Ohio.
Inspired by his physician parents, Dr. Basedow’s desire to help people find health and wellness is a reality, and today he is a registered member of the American Osteopathic Association.
With advanced training and years of hard-won experience from the Doctors Hospital Family Practice Center, Dr. Basedow is an Osteopathic Family Physician that you can trust wholeheartedly. With his skilled team at Azalea Health and Skin Treatment Center, Dr. Basedow is dedicated to creating the best-personalized treatment for each patient.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Basedow’s interests include lawn care and landscaping. He is also a pet lover and always takes his dog, Rocky, whenever he goes hiking, kayaking, or golfing. As a physician, Dr. Basedow knows the value of exercise and often makes time for biking and weight lifting.
